What does 'Hamilton the Musical' and Presidents' Day Have in Common?



Today is Presidents' Day, and tonight a rare treat for those who will be watching the 58th Annual Grammy Awards, airing live on CBS and streaming online, the Hamilton cast will perform the show's opening act. We love the idea and concept of "Hamilton the Musical". We hope an audience who might never see a musical, in addition to be drawn the material the play is based on, will want to see the musical on Broadway after the performance.  The Grammy Awards will air tonight on CBS at 8pm. We can't wait!

Politics Becoming Popular Spectator Sport

Politics TCC started down this road with a post yesterday, Funny Response to Trump Tweetstorm , that was a GIFF poking fun at White House press secretary Sean Spicer's response to President Trump's cell phone usage to tweet. Politics seems to be a uniting force, both pro and against Trump, on social media and in everyday conversations with Americans commenting, "Did you hear..." "How about..."  "Can you believe...." Stephen Colbert , host of CBS ' "Late Night with Stephen Colbert",  has moved from 2nd place to 1st since the inauguration of Trump. Other late-night hosts are also experiencing a boost in ratings as it appears Americans are using these vehicles as either proof of political views (confirmation or conspiracy) or just as a coping mechanism.
