'Saturday Night Live' 40th Anniversary Special Ratings Hit

NBC's "Saturday Night Live" 40th Anniversary Special was star studded and drew ratings the network has not seen, for an entertainment telecast, in years. The primetime special aired from 8-11, and in early Nielsen reporting, averaged a 7.8 rating in the key demo with 23 million viewers. From what we've seen in social media Bill Murray's performance was the highlight of the evening. Other reporting served up mixed reviews. The New York Times declared the SNL Special "very funny, except when it wasn't." Here's Bill:
