Will The Supreme Court See Aereo As A Gimmick


Interesting coverage of yesterday's oral arguments in the legal dispute between Aereo and television broadcasters. It seems the word gimmick has surfaced and it could be a determining factor in the case. A ruling is expected by late June.







How did television broadcasters cover the Aereo case on the evening news? 

For starters ABC World News with Diane Sawyer did not report on the Aereo case. The other broadcasters did not follow suit:

Politics TCC started down this road with a post yesterday, Funny Response to Trump Tweetstorm , that was a GIFF poking fun at White House press secretary Sean Spicer's response to President Trump's cell phone usage to tweet. Politics seems to be a uniting force, both pro and against Trump, on social media and in everyday conversations with Americans commenting, "Did you hear..." "How about..."  "Can you believe...." Stephen Colbert , host of CBS ' "Late Night with Stephen Colbert",  has moved from 2nd place to 1st since the inauguration of Trump. Other late-night hosts are also experiencing a boost in ratings as it appears Americans are using these vehicles as either proof of political views (confirmation or conspiracy) or just as a coping mechanism.
