TV Pilot Spending Increasing Among the Big 4
TELEVISION
We thought Cynthia Littleton, editor-in-chief of TV at Variety, wrote a great piece last week (see below). It seems the nets are feeling the heat from cable, which in a smart move, is increasingly producing original programs. The cable and online option for producers, who probably would have never been considered for a network deal, has created more opportunities everyone and proves that competition is always healthy. We love the idea that there are so many outlets for writers and producers that never existed before.
