Kerry Washington to SNL NOV 2


We're not sure if the timing of Kerry Washington's appearance is more uncomfortable for her or the suits at NBC's SNL. Washington's booking announcement comes in the middle of a  "no black female cast member" controversy for SNL. Awkward, to say the least! Washington, who portrays Olivia Pope, a crisis management consultant on the highly rated Scandal, may have to show up "in character".

Politics TCC started down this road with a post yesterday, Funny Response to Trump Tweetstorm , that was a GIFF poking fun at White House press secretary Sean Spicer's response to President Trump's cell phone usage to tweet. Politics seems to be a uniting force, both pro and against Trump, on social media and in everyday conversations with Americans commenting, "Did you hear..." "How about..."  "Can you believe...." Stephen Colbert , host of CBS ' "Late Night with Stephen Colbert",  has moved from 2nd place to 1st since the inauguration of Trump. Other late-night hosts are also experiencing a boost in ratings as it appears Americans are using these vehicles as either proof of political views (confirmation or conspiracy) or just as a coping mechanism. Reviews for Kerry Washington's appearance on SNL , considering Saturday Night Live was dealing with a very public issue concerning the lack of black females on the show, seems to have focused the diversity problem (like a laser) on the writing staff as well.
