Jon Stewart to Host Apple TV Plus Series on Current Affairs | TVLine

APPLE TV, that is. The Daily Show had been one of our must-see shows way back when, but now with Jon Stewart's return to television, specifically Apple TV+ (We're subscribed!) 2021 is going to be very interesting.💭

Stewart, an Emmy award winning writer- producer, will host a current affairs series for Apple. Stewart is set to produce as well as host the series. We're guessing at least one show will feature Stewart's advocacy work for 911 first responders. As part of the Apple package, Stewart has a first-look deal for other projects. We can't wait.

Politics Becoming Popular Spectator Sport

Politics TCC started down this road with a post yesterday, Funny Response to Trump Tweetstorm , that was a GIFF poking fun at White House press secretary Sean Spicer's response to President Trump's cell phone usage to tweet. Politics seems to be a uniting force, both pro and against Trump, on social media and in everyday conversations with Americans commenting, "Did you hear..." "How about..."  "Can you believe...." Stephen Colbert , host of CBS ' "Late Night with Stephen Colbert",  has moved from 2nd place to 1st since the inauguration of Trump. Other late-night hosts are also experiencing a boost in ratings as it appears Americans are using these vehicles as either proof of political views (confirmation or conspiracy) or just as a coping mechanism.
