Coach Finally Bought Kate Spade

There was talk that perhaps Michael Kors might buy Kate Spade, but TCC always thought Coach made more sense. What would be the purpose in a brand, that derives a lot of its designs from "inspired by", buying another brand that has the design philosophy.

The sale of Kate Spade cost Coach 2.8 Billion dollars. With its own sold customer base (who doesn't have a vintage coach in their closet) perhaps Coach can add a luxury element to Kate Spade that broadens the brand's appeal beyond its millennial base.

Politics Becoming Popular Spectator Sport

Politics TCC started down this road with a post yesterday, Funny Response to Trump Tweetstorm , that was a GIFF poking fun at White House press secretary Sean Spicer's response to President Trump's cell phone usage to tweet. Politics seems to be a uniting force, both pro and against Trump, on social media and in everyday conversations with Americans commenting, "Did you hear..." "How about..."  "Can you believe...." Stephen Colbert , host of CBS ' "Late Night with Stephen Colbert",  has moved from 2nd place to 1st since the inauguration of Trump. Other late-night hosts are also experiencing a boost in ratings as it appears Americans are using these vehicles as either proof of political views (confirmation or conspiracy) or just as a coping mechanism.
