Rumors of David Gregory Being Ousted Still Flying

It seems even a planned vacation can't quell rumors that NBC would like to replace David Gregory as moderator of Meet The Press. Politico and Vanity Fair are out with stories suggesting Chuck Todd, host of The Daily Rundown (also known for letting talking points go unchallenged), is a likely replacement. Perhaps the premature talk of Gregory's ouster is more of an effort by NBC to encourage Gregory to leave, on his own terms, rather than having to push him out. Hint?

Politics Becoming Popular Spectator Sport

Politics TCC started down this road with a post yesterday, Funny Response to Trump Tweetstorm , that was a GIFF poking fun at White House press secretary Sean Spicer's response to President Trump's cell phone usage to tweet. Politics seems to be a uniting force, both pro and against Trump, on social media and in everyday conversations with Americans commenting, "Did you hear..." "How about..."  "Can you believe...." Stephen Colbert , host of CBS ' "Late Night with Stephen Colbert",  has moved from 2nd place to 1st since the inauguration of Trump. Other late-night hosts are also experiencing a boost in ratings as it appears Americans are using these vehicles as either proof of political views (confirmation or conspiracy) or just as a coping mechanism.
